Boydell's Dairy Farm

Boydells Dairy Farm is a small working farm, open to the public and specialises in sheep milking. Set in the beautiful North Essex countryside near WETHERSFEILD, it provides a fun-packed and educational visit for children and adults alike.
Most of the usual farm animals are to be found here, but, unlike other open farms, we give you a guided tour with lots of hands-on stuff. Try your hand at milking a cow, feeding hens, riding a donkey cart or outstaring a llama. But the chief part of your visit will be the sheep milking which takes place in a modern "rapid exit" parlour, milking batches of 18 ewes at a time.
RE-OPENS Saturday 1st April 2018

Times: 2.00 – 5.00 p.m. In 2018 we will be open every Fri/Sat/Sun afternoon in term time and every afternoon in School Holidays from April 1st to September 3rd , BUT CLOSED ON GOOD FRIDAY (30 March). Watch out for extended hours (1000 - 1700) during the Easter holidays
