WELFARE NOTICE – CYBERBULLYING

It has been brought to the attention of the Station Welfare Department that there have been several recent cases of Cyberbullying within our community.  This is a most cowardly act that is poisoning our community.  It will not be tolerated and is to cease immediately.
To eliminate any confusion as to what constitutes Cyberbullying;  Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place using electronic technology.  Electronic technology includes devices and equipment such as mobile phones, computers and tablets as well as communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites.  Examples of Cyberbullying include deliberate malicious text messages or emails, rumors sent by email or posted on social networking sites, and embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or fake profiles.
So what will be done?  Cases of Cybelbullying will be reported to the Civilian Police for investigation.  This is very likely to include removing all electronic media technology from the addresses of suspected perpetrators for forensic analysis, this includes mobile phones, lap tops, ipads, computers and smart tv’s.  The respective Commanding Officer will also be notified of those involved in order to determine the level of disciplinary action to be taken, this could lead to the perpetrators and their family being evicted from Service Families Accommodation.  We will also advise victims to take legal advice.  In October, 2014, Justice Secretary Chris Grayling said that Internet trolls and cyber bullies might face up to two years in jail under new laws protecting users against cyber threats, cyber bullying, internet trolling and cyber blackmail.  Justice Grayling said “These internet trolls are cowards who are poisoning our national life.” Adding, “No one would permit such venom in person, so there should be no place for it on social media. That is why we are determined to quadruple the current six-month sentence.”

Moving back to the UK from Germany? YouTube Guide

YOU TUBE GUIDE

MOVING FROM BFG TO THE UK?

The Army Basing Team (ABT) has produced a film titled Army Movement Guide which covers the end to end process of moving from Germany to the UK under the Army Basing Programme. This is aimed at Service personnel, civilians and their families to support them during their move

Welfare Notice: Car Theft

We all do it, walk away from the car and with our back turned to the car press the button on the key to lock it, never thinking that it may not lock. Yet a simple thing like looking at the car as you press that button to get the confirmation of it locking with lights flashing, or just pulling the handle to check it is locked can prevent a lot of thefts of or from motor vehicles. Why does it not always lock, it could be fault, battery running low, user error or some individual with device to block your signal nearby. In any case Lock it, Check it and we can prevent some crimes.
As cars become more and more advanced and rely more and more on computers to manage their systems our thieves become more technical too. To cater for both the technical and less technical thief use the locking system on your vehicle and look to the good old fashioned “Krook Lock”, steering wheel, or pedal lock to supplement it, it has a great visual deterrent.
Lastly before you turn in for the night check that all doors, ground floor windows and easily accessible windows are closed and locked. PVCu doors – don’t forget that the door is not fully locked until you have lifted the inside handle and turned the key. To stop the burglar getting to the vulnerable windows and doors to the rear ensure that side gates are closed and locked.
Please also ensure that you put your car keys somewhere safe and out of sight, when you return home. Put your car keys in a drawer (preferably one that is noisy to open) or some other secure place, but don’t take them up to the bedroom with you.

Hypnotherapy, Reiki & Indian Head Massage

Helen Brucher Dip. Hyp. CS  is an experienced and qualified Hypnotherapist. Using her channeling techniques Helen will find the root cause to a clients problem and will be able to tell when a particular behaviour pattern first began and explain the reason behind it.
Helen also offer Indian Head Massage and Reiki.

Indian Head Massage stimulates the lymph glands draining toxins and boosting the immune system. It can relieve headaches and help with stress, anxiety and depression also improving the circulation in the body as well as enhancing hairs condition and promoting new hair growth. It can also relieve eye strain, relax muscular tension and help with general health and well being.  Indian Head Massage starts at the shoulder blades, working up to the shoulders, neck and on to the head. There are different techniques used some are quite vigorous whilst others are lighter and more gentle all complementing one another to provide a very relaxing treatment.
Reiki is a wonderful relaxing treatment and it works with the energy chakras of the body. Reiki is good for aligning mind and body which we can sometimes feel become out of balance with each other.  Reiki is very good for releasing physical stress and tension as well as emotional trauma.

Helen came to Coffee Morning and gave FREE taster sessions of Indian Head Massage – she was very well received by our ladies who highly recommend her services
